- The Biotron has many sizes of cart and platforms to put in research rooms.

Nutrient Preparation
The Biotron prepares a modified Hoagland's half-strength solution for use in all plant research areas. The table below shows the various element concentrations for our plant nutrient solution.

Pesticides
We also have several different types of pesticides and can apply them to plants upon request. Our pesticide room has a fume hood and storage space to accommodate researchers with their own pesticides.
All pesticide applications must be in compliance with OSHA regulations. The greenhouse manager is a State of Wisconsin Certified Pesticide Applicator and must approve or apply all chemicals used.
